St. Petersburg guide
In 2004 when we decided to take a Russian riverboat cruise in September ’05 with Linwood Rotary (from the state of Washington), we noticed a letter from ITN reader Helene Eckstein (Nov. ’04, pg. 82). She mentioned a terrific guide in St. Petersburg and really sang her praises. We contacted Sveta Motovilovets (phone [812] 275-34 77 or e-mail svetasad@hotmail.com) and are now also on the list of people who sing her praises.
Sveta picked up my husband and me up at the St. Petersburg airport and delivered us to our ship. She also made arrangements for a van for our Rotary friends to show us St. Petersburg. We had a wonderful day, and our friends could not praise her enough as we saw so much of her city, including the many nooks and crannies so important to understanding a city.
She charges $25-$30 per hour for two to three people, $30-$35 per hour for four to eight people and $40 per hour for groups of eight to 14. That price includes the van, the driver and her guide services.
