Cairo arrangements

After reading in ITN (March ’04, pg. 17) only praises about Samir Fayek (cell phone 011 20 12 399 5147 or e-mail samirfayek@hotmail.com), I decided to contact him for my Egypt trip in January-February ’06. I would have some free time in Cairo on two occasions and needed suggestions on where to stay and what to do.

He answered my e-mail right away, and when I got to Cairo he came to see me and we planned a few trips. A great 3-day tour to Luxor was especially well planned. I went by train in the sleeping car and it was very nice. He brought the tickets to me and delivered me to the station. It was a wonderful trip. Connections in Luxor were just as good and on time.

Frankly, I don’t recall what I paid Samir for the various services he arranged and performed. However, without qualification, I can recommend Samir as competent in accommodating my wishes and providing excellent value. He made my stays in Cairo most enjoyable.

Samir Fayek described to ITN a number of tours he offers with driver and guide for from $15 to $60 per person with a minimum of two people (example, Tour One at $15 includes Pyramids of Giza, Islamic Cairo, City of the Dead and Papyrus Institute) plus a 5-day/4-night Luxor Nile cruise at $500 per person.
