Qantas economy ‘excellent’

I had not flown with Qantas since 1983, but for an October ’07 flight from Auckland, New Zealand, to Los Angeles, since they were the best buy, I bought a ticket.

The economy class was excellent. The plane was clean, and all the stewardesses went out of their way to be helpful.

Next, the food — delicious, and plenty of it! We had a nice choice. They also went up and down the aisle with snacks, including, sometime during the middle of the night, a big basket of apples and water.

I got off the plane very happy.

Air India to Germany

After having taken several trips to Germany on U.S.-based airlines, in summer 2007 my wife and I were scheduled to fly Air India nonstop from Chicago, Illinois, to Frankfurt, Germany, in economy class.

The flight, of course, was continuing on to India, so I was dreaming of lovely flight attendants in saris, edible food and friendly fellow passengers.

Oddly enough, my dreams came true. The plane was full, but everyone was nice, the beautiful flight attendants were helpful and attentive, and the food was very good. And the price was right!

I’d recommend this flight anytime.
