Tribes Travel in East Africa

In our 40 years of travel, my wife, Arnette, and I have never had a more perfectly planned and executed trip than our five-country, five-week independent East Africa experience, July 27-Aug. 28, 2009.

We visited Rwanda and its gorillas plus Kenya, Tanzania, Zanzibar and Malawi. The tour cost, not including international airfare, was $41,062 for the two of us.

We found Malawi to be very favorable for travel with variety, especially the beautiful Lujeri Tea Estate (reminiscent of Kaui, Hawaii) with its hundreds of square miles of tea plantations set around a granite mountain range with huge waterfalls.

Julie was the only planner we spoke to who knew about the benefits of traveling in Malawi. All in all, a great trip!
