Guide in Bulgaria

For our trip to Bulgaria in May ’11, my partner, Mimi, and I employed the services of Patrick Peneff (mobile phone 359 887 364 711).

A total of €2,207 (then, about $3,225) for two of us covered Patrick’s services as our guide and driver; his automobile; petrol; 16 nights’ accommodation, and pickup and dropoff at the Sofia airport.

I must say that the accommodations provided by Patrick far exceeded my expectations. They were very, very nice and comfortable.

Patrick did an excellent job as our guide, going out of his way to show us the “real Bulgaria” and taking us to places not on the usual tour routes. He was very easy to understand, speaking excellent English. An added plus — he was an excellent driver; we were completely comfortable riding with him.

We found Bulgaria to be a wonderful place to visit, especially if you want something a little off the beaten tourist path. The people were very nice, the food was excellent and the wine, very good.
