You can take a one-week residential course at Christ Church, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in England. Classes fill quickly; registration deadline is May 1.

Anyone may attend; there are no prerequisites, no papers and no exams. Choose from 60-plus courses in archaeology; early history; art; music; film; houses and gardens; folklore & creative writing; modern history & politics, and natural & social sciences.

Each class costs £1,180 (near $1,890), which includes dorm accommodations and all on-site meals. Off-site excursions cost £50-£100. A room with private bath costs £180 ($288) extra for the week.
