Mingle with wolves in Norway
In northern Norway, guests of WolfLodge who meet certain requirements can interact with wild (but human-acclimated) wolves in an enclosure in Polar Park (N-9360, Bardu, Norway; phone +47 77 18 66 30, http://polarpark.no/polar-park-english.html).
Located in the park, WolfLodge has one double and five 3-bed guest rooms; two bathrooms that are shared; a common area with a kitchen, living room and fireplace; large skylights for viewing the northern lights, and large windows for watching the wolves roaming the grounds.
Per night, a room costs NOK10,000 (near $1,225) for up to two people, and a third person pays NOK5,000. The price includes dinner, breakfast and a guided trek and, if you meet the conditions, petting and playing with the wolves. Guests who meet wolves must be at least 18 years of age, in good health and at least 5'3". Wolf interactions are at the discretion of the guide.
