In northeastern Australia at the Fraser Coast Wildlife Sanctuary (79 Mungar Rd., Maryborough, Queensland, Australia; phone +61 07 4122 2080, http://frasercoastwildlifesanctuary.org.au), visitors can interact with dingoes, wallabies, kangaroos, kookaburras and more. Visits are guided, and animal interactions are supervised by staff.
All fees to the nonprofit sanctuary go toward care of the animals. Open daily, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Entry, AUD10 (near $8) adult or AUD8 senior. Snake and dingo experiences cost another AUD10. A canteen serves morning and afternoon teas and a light lunch.
