Deadly Sumatra floods

On the western Indonesian island of Sumatra in late April, at least 29 people were killed and more than 12,000 were forced from their homes during heavy flooding and landslides. The floods and landslides destroyed hundreds of buildings and killed thousands of head of livestock.
