Virgin Voyages requires vaccines

The cruise line Virgin Voyages (www.virginvoyages.com) announced on March 16 that it would require all passengers and crew to be vaccinated before boarding one of its ships.

At press time, Virgin Voyages operated one ship, Scarlet Lady, which was christened in February 2020 but was unable to conduct its maiden voyage due to COVID-19. Scarlet Lady’s first cruise, from Miami to Mexico and the Bahamas, is scheduled to embark July 4, 2021.

Two other ships are under construction and scheduled to begin operation: Valiant Lady in November 2021 and Resilient Lady in July 2022. Each holds 2,770 passengers.
