COVID restrictions ease
The United Kingdom, Ireland and Denmark all removed certain COVID-19 restrictions in early 2022.
In the UK, digital passes and face coverings are no longer nationally required on public transportation or in public buildings. However, municipalities can require face masks on their own transit systems, including in London, which still required masks at press time.
Ireland removed restrictions on limiting seats for indoor events and dining as well as on hours of operation. At press time, masking indoors and on public transport was still required until at least Feb. 28.
Denmark removed all in-country COVID restrictions, such as limited seating and masking indoors as well as proving vaccination for certain activities. Vaccine requirements for entering the country remained in place at press time.
