Hi Stan,
In September 2007, I stayed one night at the Capital Airport Hotel Beijing Airport, booked through Hotel Club.
I was only at the hotel for a very short time, flying in late one night and leaving early the next morning. However, the hotel was fine and very conveniently located close to the airport with a shuttle bus.
The only negative thing I could say is that I did not appreciate it when they held me up when I was catching the shuttle to check to see if I had taken any towels from the room, a general practice back then which hopefully they've changed. I told the staff that the days of communism were over. The same thing had occurred at a hotel in Kyrgyzstan. Seriously, do they really think that Western tourists want to take cheap Chinese towels or torn dirty curtains to put in their already heavy suitcases or backpacks?
Anyway, except for that experience the hotel was fine.
