Budapest hotels

Hi, Does anyone know of any good hotels, centrally located on the Pest side, with a budget of about 70- 120€ a night, including breakfast , for a single room? I would pay a higher rate if the hotel was really fabulous or you highly recommend it. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

My husband and I stayed in 2016 at K+K Hotel Opera as part of a group. Our room was comfortable with breakfast included. What I really liked was the location. It is nearly adjacent to the Opera House and an easy walk to St. Stephens Basilica and the restaurants nearby. The Opera Metro station is a few blocks away. Specifics: K+K Hotel Opera, Revary Utca 24, Budapest, 1065 Hungary. www.kkhotels.com/budapest/hotel-opera. Their website listed rooms at 102Euro/night with, if booked directly, breakfast. Enjoy your stay!

Our favorite sights included: 1 St. Stephens Basilica which is far less crowded that Matthias, allowing you more opportunity to savor its atmosphere as well as architecture. With an additional donation, you can take an elevator into the tower for a 360 degree view of the city. In 2016, entrance plus dome cost around $6pp. We enjoyed dining at Japanika on St. Stephens Square while watching the light change on the Basilica as the sun set. 2 Nearby the Basilica near the Chain Bridge is the amazing Gresham Palace Four Seasons Hotel. From the exterior, this could be missed; however, its art nouveau interior with iron gates and mosaic flooring are not to be missed. We enjoyed afternoon respite in their lobby cocktail lounge. Pricy, but so worth the experience. Nearby is Tram #2 which runs between the Central Market and Parliament. 3 Although not Jewish, we recommend visiting Dohany Great Synagogue and Jewish Quarter even though access seemed pricy around $20pp with guided tour. Inside the grounds are the Synagogue, a memorial garden, the Holocaust Memorial, and a museum. 4 Very near the Synagogue is Szimpla Kert, Kazinczy utca 14, considered the most authentic ruin bar in the Jewish Quarter. Stop for drinks and absorb the funky atmosphere. This bar is spread over two floors in a damaged communist block. 5 Immediately upon arrival in Budapest, if not earlier, book a seat on an evening sightseeing cruise. We opted for a 20:15 sailing on the Danube Legend which sailed during sunset at equivalent $38/pp. Narration was in English and a drink was included.
