Hotels in Barcelona

<p>My wife and I&nbsp;are spending 4 days in Barcelona the end of October before going on&nbsp;a cruise and are looking for a hotel fairly close to the cruise ship terminal. Thanks a lot</p>

I stayed at the NH Barcelona Calderon which is about a block from the beginning of Las Ramblas and think you would like it.     The cruise port is at the other end of Las Ramblas -- an easy 5 min. taxi ride - maybe 10 min. during rush hour.    It is a business hotel and has a great buffet breakfast (make sure this is included in your room rate).  As for any check-in,   take a look at a few rooms before you accept one as there are different configurations,etc.    The hotel is located close to a main shopping street, a Gaudi house, the Gothic Quarter as well as Las Ramblas.   Its a 4-star hotel in a great location. Check trivago.com  for room rate comparisons -  I've seen rates as good as $115+ taxes.
