Proper attire for the 'Stan countries

I will be traveling in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and the Khirghiz Republic in a few weeks and would like to hear from women who have recently traveled in these countries about proper attire. Any advice welcome. Thank you.

We were in Uzbekistan last year and there was alot of Western attire. Pants and tee shirts, but no shorts and no low cut shirts. The mosques are not used for religious services anymore - they are all craft shops - so that is not an issue. There are parts of these countries that are quite conservative, so I would wear long sleeves there. Didn't need a head scarf anywhere.
