Recommended Guides and Tour Agency We Used in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

<p>We were in San Pedro de Atacama in April, 2010. We used Cosmo Andino agency for a tour to Atacama and Talar Salars, Miscanti and Miniques Lagoons and the villages of Toconao and Socaire. The guide, Oscar, was excellent. He told us he was born of Chilean parents in England - and so has both English and Spanish as his primary languages. Cosmo Andino is highly recommended.</p> <p>We hired a private guide to go to Rainbow Valley (Valle de la Arcoiris) and the village of Rio Grande. His name is Jose and his e-mail address is jmussri@hotmail.com. He also drove us to Puritama Hot Springs, and to Calama airport, with a short side trip to the outskirts of Chuquicamata copper mine. He was reliable, had a good vehicle, and speaks good English. </p>
