My husband and I will be in Beijing for a month this fall (2018) and we're hoping to find a recommendation for a good travel agent there who can help us with a short visit to Tibet. Thanks!

Third Eye Travel http://www.thirdeyetravel.com/ can help you with Tibet. We have used them in the past for other locations and were very pleased with their quality of service. Their web site shows fixed itineraries but if you contact them they should be able to assist you with a customized itinerary.

I might be too late with my recommendation, but my husband and I were in China two years ago. I used China Travel Service out of San Francisco (recommended by an ITN reader/contributer). The agent I used as left the company, but you will not find a better travel service for China. We had a personalized tour that included Tibet. All our guides were superb. If I were to return to China, I would use China Travel Service. This is not a cheap trip, but our private tour was no more expensive than some group tours I priced.
