On our last visit to Athens we stayed at the Adrian Hotel. It's a small hotel--not really fancy but desk staff is wonderful and it has an elevator. It's on a small street with mostly pedestrian traffic, close to cafes and shops. Your breakfast is served on the rooftop where you gaze up at the Acropolis--it's wonderful. Easy walk to just about anywhere.
