A new law in India, which began being enforced on April 1, prohibits alcohol from being sold at shops or served by bars or restaurants that are within 500 meters of a national or state highway. This law forced more than 100 bars in restaurants and hotels in Delhi to close. As the law begins to be enforced in other cities, more establishments will be affected.A number of hotels could lose their 4- and 5-star ratings if they cannot sell alcohol.

Travelers deplaning from an international flight at Terminal 2 in Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City will no longer be required to go through random bag checks. Passengers flying internationally on China Southern Airlines who have transfers at Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, China, will get “rapid transfer service,” relieving them of having to claim their checked luggage and allowing them to skip Customs until reaching their final destination. Three US airlines are ceasing flights to Cuba. Silver Airways began ending its nine US-Cuba routes starting in March, completely ceasing flights by April 11. Royal Caribbean International and Costa Cruises have canceled ports of call in South Korea for their cruises that leave from China, due to tensions in China regarding the installation of an antimissile-defense system in South Korea by the US. The two cruise lines are replacing South Korea stops with ones in Japan. The Chinese government has also requested that Chinese tour companies halt any land tours of South Korea.
